2. What data we process and why

This site is informational: there is no registration, comments, forms or payments. When you visit, the hosting server (Netlify) logs technical connection data (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser and system). It is processed to deliver the site and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest) and deleted or anonymised according to the hosting provider's retention periods; a data processing agreement is in place.

3. Storage on your device

We store in your browser's local storage (a) your cookie choice and (b) your favourite recipes, if you mark any. This data stays on your device, is not sent to our servers and is necessary to provide features you asked for (§ 25(2) TDDDG / Art. 22(2) LSSI-CE).

4. Advertising (Google AdSense)

To fund the site we show Google AdSense ads (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). They load only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG / Art. 22(2) LSSI-CE). Google may then set cookies and read information on your device (e.g. IP, identifiers, browser data and ad interactions) to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud and, if you allow it, personalise them. Ads are requested as non-personalised ads (your browsing history is not used to profile you), even if you accept. If you do not accept, no Google content is loaded. 5. International transfers

Google may process data outside the European Economic Area, including the United States, under GDPR safeguards (adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses).

6. Withdrawing consent

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability (Arts. 15-21 GDPR). Write to davidcastroadger@gmail.com. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: for this site, Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (HBDI), Wiesbaden, or the authority in your own country.

8. Other

We do not use our own analytics or third-party fonts (fonts are hosted on this site). We make no automated decisions and do no profiling of our own. This site may link to other websites; we are not responsible for their privacy practices.
